The Department of Marine and Ecological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University seeks to maintain a team of engaged professionals from a range of academic disciplines and traditions who are committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement, grounded in but not bound by our disciplines. The curricula emphasizes multiple methodological approaches and intellectual perspectives that contribute to the understanding of the long term change born out in evolution and climate change and the more dynamic ecological processes as they occur at local and global levels on various terrestrial and marine environments.
