Description

The master’s program in Sustainable Communities at Binghamton University is one of the first sustainability-focused graduate degrees offered by the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Through this two-year program, you can pursue a Master of Arts (MA) or a Master of Science (MS) in Sustainable Communities. The degree integrates the three pillars of sustainability – environmental protection, economic vitality and social equity – into the curriculum to ensure you gain a balanced, holistic perspective on sustainability. Collaboration is at the heart of the Sustainable Communities program, which draws upon several academic disciplines, including: anthropology, economics, environmental science, geography, geology, philosophy, political science, public administration and sociology.
