Description
This degree trains students as scientists with the skills to connect human environmental impacts to policy and management. Students develop a fundamental understanding of Earth’s systems (land, climate, water, biota) by taking courses from multiple environmentally relevant scientific disciplines. They develop a solid background in the scientific underpinnings of environmental sustainability, drivers and strategies of mitigation of climate change, the intersection of these topics with questions of justice, and related pressing issues. This training happens via courses and research opportunities with affiliated faculty.
