Soil Health Management (Minor)

Description
The Soil Health Management minor provides a strong background in basic soil sciences such as soil biology, soil chemistry, conservation, and land use and provides the opportunity to focus coursework in areas of soil health. Students completing the minor will have detailed knowledge in managing soils in relation to building soil health, improved crop production, environmental quality, forestry, and ecosystem sustainability. Students will be prepared for work on agricultural and natural ecosystems, crop production, soil conservation, and marketing, i.e., in careers requiring better understanding of soil health and soil sustainability throughout the decision-making process.
