Description

The objective of the Doctoral Degree Microprogram in Strategic Environmental Counselling is to train at a senior level strategic environmental counselling professionals capable of providing thoughtful advice at a strategic level to organizations for actions to address environmental issues that affect or will affect their mission. Specific skills to be developed and associated with the program: • Evaluating in an interdisciplinary way environmental issues at the strategic scale of an organization that may emanate new practices, research, or developments, in different sectors (e.g., governance, ethical, economic, legislative, technological) • Critically assessing current environmental arguments, data, methodologies, and practices in light of recent or ongoing research findings • Choosing the most appropriate strategic lever(s) of an organization for an intervention • Proposing an innovative approach to a strategic environmental issue • Undertaking a reflexive process on the role of strategic environmental counselling and more specifically on the ethical dimension.
