The environmental science major provides students with the understanding and skills needed to find solutions to environmental problems, combining geosciences, agriculture and biology. They develop the knowledge and skills to find solutions to complex environmental problems. They also develop the technical laboratory and field skills to measure, monitor and analyse environmental problems; learn about and understand the policy and regulatory contexts in which environmental scientists work; design and analyse experiments; and utilise spatial data using mapping and analysis tools. Students develop a strong multidisciplinary scientific understanding of regional, national and global environmental issues.
