Description

Environmental Program faculty believe that most students who are interested in studying in the environmental areas are best served by pursuing a core major partnered with rigorous courses constituting an interdisciplinary environmental minor. Students can chose either of two tracts: an Interdisciplinary Minor in Environmental Science or an Interdisciplinary Minor in Environmental Studies, which focuses more on the humanities and economic aspects of the environment. The Environmental Science or the Environmental Studies Minor, coupled with a liberal arts major, is designed to prepare students for careers in the environmental sciences, law, public health, public policy, and public administration, and to develop attitudes and values consistent with a sustainable environmental future.
