Applied Climate Science (BS)
University of Nebraska - Lincoln
Description
The applied climate science major provides an interdisciplinary approach with courses in biology, chemistry, soils, water, ecology, mathematics and statistics, and Geographic Information Science (GIScience). These courses provide students with a higher level of training in climatology necessary to understand complex climate-based problems and their interrelationships with natural resources. Students in this major will be prepared, as trained climate science professionals, to address natural hazard management, climate change, changing frequency and severity of extreme climatic events, environmental degradation and deforestation, and the increased demand for water and other natural resources.
