Description
As a global environmental studies major, students will gain an understanding of how different economic practices, laws and policies, cultural values, and social norms across the globe guide peoples’ relation to the planet. Students will examine environmental practices and change through the eyes of those whose lives and livelihoods are at stake, and will become familiar with major social movements that have advocated for environmental protection, cultural survival, biodiversity, food security and equitable distribution of resources.
