Description

The Environmental Education Certificate is a 12-credit post-baccalaureate professional development program designed for those seeking to develop or enhance their knowledge of and skills in environmental education. The certificate is grounded in the North American Association for Environmental Education's Guidelines for the Preparation and Professional Development of Environmental Educators. This Certificate is administered by the University of Minnesota Duluth's College of Education and Human Service Professions, and can be completed either on campus or as part of the environmental educator training program at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. While this Certificate is designed as a stand-alone program, credits earned through the Certificate may be applied toward the Master of Environmental Education Degree, upon acceptance into the graduate program and with approval of the student's graduate committee.
