Environmental Science (BS)
Temple University
Description
Environmental Science is the study of the interactions of our society with the Earth. Environmental Scientists use a combination of field and laboratory research to understand the physical, chemical and biological processes that underlie these interactions. They use this information to make informed decisions regarding issues such as use of water resources, environmental protection and remediation of contaminated ecosystems. Students learn the foundational concepts of environmental science and blend this with a diverse combination of upper-level courses across the sciences in order to prepare them for either employment in the environmental industry or advanced research degrees.
