Description
The Bachelor of Science in Global Responsibility & Leadership (GRL) is a pioneering Liberal Arts and Sciences program designed to equip students with the interdisciplinary knowledge and practical skills necessary to address pressing global challenges. Structured over three years, the curriculum integrates core courses in Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Earth Systems, Sustainable Energy Transition, and Global Health, all anchored in the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In the first year, students engage in foundational courses such as "Explaining Human Behaviour," "Introduction to Global Health," and "The Earth System," complemented by skills development in research methodology and intercultural communication. The second year introduces mandatory courses like "Personal Leadership Lab," "Statistics II," and "Ethics & Global Responsibility," while offering flexibility through elective courses within chosen majors. The final year culminates in a capstone project, allowing students to synthesize their learning in a practical context. Majors include Responsible Governance, Responsible Humanity, and Responsible Planet, each offering specialized tracks tailored to specific areas of interest. The program emphasizes small-scale, interactive learning environments with a maximum of 25 students per class, fostering close-knit academic communities. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in international organizations, government agencies, NGOs, and the private sector, with opportunities for minors and internships enhancing their global perspective and leadership capabilities.
