Sustainability science studens will learn in small class sizes and conduct independent research with award-winning faculty. We are dedicated to active learning and field based instruction.

Research Students will be a practicing scientist on their first day of class. At Queens, our small class sizes enable hands-on learning. Students will learn by doing.

Facilities Rogers Hall features dynamic, interactive classrooms and lab space, a vibrant state-of-the-art greenhouse and an exterior green wall in the shape of a double helix. The green features of the building itself demonstrate the environmental conservation that's taught within its walls.

The Biomanufacturing Lab is a place for course-embedded and independent research projects focused on biodiesel, cellulosic biofuels and bio-products. Core principals of analytical chemistry, biotechnology and engineering are used to construct and critically evaluate systems to produce sustainable fuels, materials and even medicines.
