Description
The Atmospheric and Ocean Studies graduate program is a joint MS and PhD. UMD's research park includes NOAA's Center for Weather and Climate Prediction, the Joint Global Change Research Institute, and UMD's Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center. The Department is particularly strong in Atmospheric Chemistry, Numerical Weather Prediction, Data Assimilation, Climate, Physical Oceanography, Remote Sensing, and Dynamics with Predictability.
