Description

This 18-credit graduate credential helps prepare students to link scientists, decision-makers, and stakeholders when managing recreational and commercial fisheries and fish habitat and to contribute towards the general conservation of aquatic resources. Through coursework, students can practice skills in biology, economy, law and social science as they deal with issues across a wide range of perspectives and disciplines. The flexibility of the course options allows students to mix and match courses to best fit their career goals.

Completion of the certificate prepares students to apply to graduate school in a similar discipline, can assist with advancement in their current position as a fisheries professional, and/or provides graduate course work that can contribute to their qualifications for agency employment or certification by professional societies.
