Global Studies (PhD)
University of California, Santa Barbara
Description
The PhD Program is a stand-alone degree (approximately 5-6 years). It provides an interdisciplinary degree for the study of global issues such as conflict, immigration, human rights, environment, and sustainable development. Combining approaches from the social sciences and humanities, the PhD is built around three related concentrations: global political economy and development; global culture and ideology; and global governance and global civil society.
