Description

The Postgraduate Diploma builds on the Postgraduate Certificate’s three core courses: Introduction to Learning for Sustainability, Ecosystems for Educators and Outdoor Learning. A further four Postgraduate Diploma specific courses - Environmental Philosophy and City-based Outdoor Learning, Education for Environmental Citizenship, Experiential Education and Sources of Knowledge - combine to develop this foundational knowledge within broader philosophical and theoretical frameworks.

The Postgraduate Diploma courses are designed to stimulate a deep understanding of the personal, cultural and environmental, values, systems and principles that combine and characterise Learning for Sustainability and support their approaches to teaching and leading. Additionally, programme members will gain introductory research experience, which will enhance their critical awareness and enable progression on to the Masters programme. This process will encourage programme members to develop as educational professionals, leaders and researchers in the field.
