Description

Founded in 2008, Lispcomb's Master of Science in Sustainability is a 30-credit hour, 12-16-month, non-thesis program with 8-week long evening classes, conveniently offered on-campus, online, or as a mixed HyFlex format, specifically for full-time working adults. Triple bottom line, foundational coursework (12 credit hours) is matched with technical specializations and advanced study in green building and energy, renewable energy/efficiency, business metrics/ESG, water management, urban resilience, food systems, and customized, student-designed concentrations that adhere to a prior discipline or field of work. No standardized exams are required for admission with open enrollment in August, October, January, March, and May. A dual degrees option allows the student to complete a master of science and an AACSB-accredited MBA in two years. The MBA option however requires either a choice of a fully online or a fully on-campus study. Graduate degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking professional certificates are also available in the aforementioned technical areas Annual advanced study is also offered in Central Texas and New England. In April 2023, 72.7% of alumni found employment in sustainability-specific or related occupations with 97.5% placement overall. Alumni work in notable renewable energy, electric vehicle, consulting, manufacturing, retail, local/state/federal government firms, and organizations in entry and executive-level positions. Any undergraduate degree or profession that can integrate sustainability is eligible for admission. Lipscomb University offers a welcoming, faith-based faculty and university culture, open to all faiths and backgrounds as collaborative neighbors in the world.
