Located in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the fourth largest metropolitan region in the country, both the City and Regional Planning Master’s Degree program and PhD in Urban Planning and Public Policy program are situated in an optimal laboratory to study, analyze, and provide planning solutions to contemporary urban problems. These include such important issues as as sprawl, pollution, equity, carbon footprints, economic development, aging infrastructure, and—more generally—contributing to the development of sustainable cities and regions.
