Description
In this three-course certificate program, students examine the important issues involved in sustainable transportation planning. Students review policies and programs that encourage mixed use development and higher density levels in order to promote modes of transportation other than the single occupancy vehicle. They’ll study the impact different transportation options have on the environment and sustainability; explore the movement of goods as well as various freight options and the strategies for making them more sustainable; and learn about legal and legislative issues surrounding sustainable transportation policy.
