Description

The Division of Resource Management offers graduate studies leading to the degree of PhD in Resource Management and Sustainable Development. This doctoral program offers four areas of emphasis: Natural Resource Economics (NRE), Resource Management (RM), Agricultural and Extension Education (AEE), and Human and Community Development (HCD). The objective of the degree program is to provide doctoral students the opportunity to study and conduct research with faculty in areas of excellence in the Division of Resource Management, in particular, and in other divisions in the Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Consumer Sciences, in general. All students in the program complete a core consisting of research methods, graduate seminars, and teaching practicum. Beyond the core each of the four areas of emphasis has its own specific requirements for specialization.
